Zos Kia
Zos Kia was a British noise and industrial project active from 1982 to 1983, formed by John Gosling and John Balance (born Geoffrey Rushton, 1962–2004), with Peter Christopherson contributing sound. Their sole release Transparent — a cassette on the Austrian Nekrophile label (1983) — stands as one of the earliest documents of the aesthetic that Balance and Christopherson would develop as Coil from 1984 onward. The project name is drawn from Austin Osman Spare's Zos Kia Cultus. John Balance died in November 2004; Christopherson died in 2010.
