Yoshimitsu Ichiraku
Yoshimitsu Ichiraku, born 1959, is a Japanese percussionist and media artist based in Yamaguchi, working across onkyo, experimental and electronic music. A drummer for Acid Mothers Temple in 2001, he used his kit as a video controller before quitting professional drumming in 2012 to build self-designed instruments, including DORAnome and LaserGuitar developed with tkrworks, Roland and Vestax, and later the Laser Modular synthesizer performed worldwide. He received an Honorary Mention in Digital Musics at Ars Electronica, participated in the Venice Biennale and Expo Zaragoza 2008, curated works at Art Setouchi in 2019, and organizes the touring GIGANOISE, GIGAMODULAR and GIGADISCO festivals.
