Wolfgang Voigt

Wolfgang Voigt (b. 1961, Cologne) is a German producer, composer, and visual artist central to minimal techno and ambient electronic music since the early 1990s. Working under aliases including Gas, Mike Ink, and Love Inc., he combines hypnotic rhythms, dense textures, and conceptual rigor. As co-founder of Kompakt, one of the most influential labels in electronic music, he has shaped the international techno landscape through productions and curatorial work. His Gas project merges orchestral samples with immersive electronic structures, blurring the line between ambient and techno. Through recordings and audiovisual works, he explores perception, memory, and the power of sound.
