Wichtel und die Wuchteln
Wichtel und die Wuchteln is a one-off project assembled in 2007 by Berlin publisher Klaus Sander, founder of the spoken-word label supposé. Contributors included artist Rosa Barba, Mouse on Mars co-founder Jan St. Werner, writer Oswald Wiener and singer Ingrid Wiener, and producer Anja Theismann.
The recordings set a double quartet from the Austrian choir Alpenland Mariazell against electronic production, pairing folk vocal tradition with avant-garde sound design. The two tracks, "Hämchen Hämchen" and "Wunderschöner junger Mann," were released by supposé in 2019, bridging the Wiener Gruppe's literary legacy and the Cologne electronic scene around Mouse on Mars.
