Whitehouse

Whitehouse is a British power electronics group founded by William Bennett in 1980, one of the most extreme, confrontational, and influential acts in noise and industrial music. Their recordings for Come Org and Susan Lawly — featuring aggressive synthesizers, distorted vocals, and lyrics of deliberate provocation around themes of violence and sexual extremity — are foundational texts in power electronics and remain genuinely difficult to encounter.

The original lineup included Philip Best and Peter Sotos (who was convicted of obscenity charges in 1986 for possessing child pornography, an event that became part of the group's notoriety).
