Vivenza

Vivenza is the project of French industrial and noise musician Jean-Marc Vivenza, who has been active since the early 1980s producing recordings that draw directly on the sounds of industrial machinery — furnaces, factories, steam engines, metalworking — as primary compositional material. His approach connects to the Italian Futurist celebration of machine noise, and he has written extensively on this theoretical inheritance.

Vivenza is also a significant theorist of industrial music, contributing essays and analyses that situate his and others' industrial practice within both aesthetic and political frameworks.
