Vincent Schoutsen

Vincent Schoutsen is a Dutch artist and musician based in Utrecht whose practice blends hardcore dance culture with engineering and live performance. His work often involves modified or hacked machines repurposed as instruments: his piece The Hardcore Trainer converted an exercise crosstrainer into a live electronic instrument generating raw, danceable hardcore. His 2025 installation The DreamFeed, presented at the GOGBOT festival in Enschede, invited visitors to feed their fears and anxieties into a collective algorithm, transforming the doomscroll into a physically embodied ritual. He is also a member of Het Uitvindersgilde, a collective of sustainable artist-engineers.
