Vanessa Rossetto

Trained as a painter, Vanessa Rossetto is an American composer and improviser based in Austin, Texas, whose work integrates field recordings gathered on daily walks around the city with chamber instrumentation, electronics, and found objects. In 2008 she launched her own CD-R imprint, Music Appreciation, releasing solo albums including Misafridal, Imperial Brick, Whoreson in the Wilderness, and the award-winning Dogs in English Porcelain. She has also released material through Erstwhile, Another Timbre, Kye, and Tone Glow, and has collaborated with Lionel Marchetti and Lee Patterson.
