Václav Peloušek is a Czech musician, artist, and educator based in Brno who studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 2011 he co-founded, with Ondřej Merta, the art and education project Standuino, which evolved by 2013 into Bastl Instruments — a Brno-based company developing and producing desktop synthesizers, samplers, effects units, and Eurorack modular modules including the microGranny, Thyme, and Kastle. Alongside his instrument design work, he pursues the solo musical project Toyota Vangelis and explores the practice of drawing shapes with sound through waveform visualization on modular synthesizers.
