Ursula Reuter

Ursula Reuter Christiansen (b. 1943, Trier, Germany) is an artist working across painting, film, performance, ceramics, and sculpture. She studied at the Dusseldorf Academy of Fine Arts from 1965 to 1969 under Joseph Beuys, joining Fluxus and the emerging women's movement, and in 1969 settled on the Danish island of Mon.

Her 1971 film Skarpretteren (The Executioner) screened at the first international women's film festival in Berlin and entered the National Gallery of Denmark's collection. She often collaborated with husband Henning Christiansen, including on the 1986 film Den Rode Skov, and from 1997 to 2006 was the first female painting professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
