Tujiko Noriko

Tujiko Noriko is a Japanese musician and artist born in 1975 in Osaka, now based in Paris. She releases music of intimate electronic composition, breathy Japanese vocals, and a distinctive melancholy that has made her one of the most individual voices in the Mego label catalogue. Albums including Shojo Toshi (2002), Make Me Hard (2003), and Koko (2005) present a personal world of lo-fi electronics and song that resists easy categorisation. She also writes, makes films, and creates visual art. Her long-running relationship with Editions Mego defines her catalogue, and she continues to perform and create internationally.
