Torba

Torba is the recording name of Italian sound artist Mauro Diciocia, active in underground tape and vinyl circles for more than a decade. His work draws on the musique concrete and tape-music tradition, reworking field recordings and found audio through magnetic tape and digital processing into lo-fi noise and drone soundscapes.

Diciocia has issued numerous small-run cassettes on his own Edizioni Aaltra imprint, including Musica Convenzionale. Musique Inconcrete, released on Fragment Factory in 2019 as the second part of an informal trilogy called Le Musiche, was his first full-length vinyl release, alongside other titles such as Ggran and sqort.
