Tobias Bradford

Tobias Bradford (b. 1993, Örebro, Sweden) is a London-based artist whose animatronic sculptures fuse mechanics, sound and the uncanny. After studying at Örebro Art College and earning a BFA from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2019, he began building kinetic works, twitching limbs, quivering rubber tongues, tapping fingers, that generate unsettling soundtracks from motors and repetitive motion. His practice treats mechanical noise, compulsive gesture and ASMR triggers as raw material, blurring embodiment and disembodiment. Bradford's work has shown at Company Gallery, New York; Örebro Konsthall; and the Design Museum London's ASMR survey Weird Sensation Feels Good.
