Thibault Walter
Thibault Walter is a Lausanne-based artist, researcher, and cultural programmer. He teaches and researches at ECAL/École cantonale d'art de Lausanne – HES-SO and holds a doctoral thesis (2012) in sciences of religions from the University of Lausanne, examining how communities construct meaning through listening. His artistic practice works with sound as material — field recording, sonic installation, and performance that treats sounds as living entities rather than fixed objects. Since 2002 he has co-founded and programmed the Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival (LUFF), deliberately crossing audiences from punk, experimental, and contemporary music.
