The Ninks

The Ninks are a three-piece punk band formed in Kashiwa City in 2021, built around guitarist-vocalist Fujio and drummer Heidora. Bassist Sepa Takuro joined in 2023, launching the band's full live campaign centred on Shimokitazawa. They describe their sound as Kashiwa City Garlic Punk — a self-coined genre pulling from rock, metal, hardcore and jazz, held together by melodic hooks and extreme stage antics: mid-set whiskey and Tabasco shots are standard. Their first EP, Washing War Machine, arrived digitally in December 2024, followed by debut album Garlic Punk Song Book Vol. 1 in August 2025 — ten tracks accompanied by a feature-length music video.
