Taylor Deupree

Taylor Deupree is an American musician, visual artist, and label founder based in New York. He founded the 12k label in 1997, which has become one of the most respected imprints in minimal electronic and electroacoustic music, with a roster including Christopher Willits, Steve Roden, and Marcus Fischer. His own recordings explore delicate textural compositions of barely-there sound, field recordings, and deteriorating analogue signals. Albums including Stil. (2008) and Northern (2012) exemplify his precise, restrained aesthetic. He also maintains a longstanding practice in graphic design and visual art.
