Stefan Roigk

Born in 1974, Stefan Roigk is a Berlin-based sound artist and composer who studied fine art with a focus on installative sound art at the Hochschule in Hannover under Professor Ulrich Eller. His practice moves between sound collage, sculpture, installation, performance, and graphic scores, directing fragments of everyday life and ambient atmosphere into dynamic intermedia arrangements. A notable work, TRACES—OF (ausland, Berlin, 2019), constructed a forensic scenario from an acousmatic composition assembled from everyday recordings, whose associations were described by volunteer witnesses and then translated into objects, photographs, and drawings. He also curates concerts at ausland.
