Slavo Krekovic

Born in Bratislava and now based in The Hague, he holds MA and PhD degrees in Musicology alongside a Master in Sonology from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he studied with Joel Ryan, Frank Baldé, and Rebekah Wilson. From 2013 to 2017 he led the Multimedia study programme at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology. He is co-founder and Artistic Director of the NEXT Festival of Advanced Music and of A4 – Space of Contemporary Culture in Bratislava, and performs using custom software and hardware within projects including Voice Over Noise, Shibuya Motors, and VRITTI, exploring generativity, gestural control, and human-machine interaction.
