Shifted

Shifted is the alias of Alexander Menzinsky, a British electronic musician based in London. Working within industrial techno and experimental electronics, he releases on Avian — the label he co-runs with SHXCXCHCXSH and Ancient Methods — alongside other underground techno imprints. Albums including Appropriation of Remnants (2013) and Under a Single Banner (2014) document his approach to long-form, atmospheric techno that draws on both the physical demands of the club and a more contemplative compositional practice. He has performed internationally and is associated with the Avian collective's particular brand of underground industrial techno.
