Scuba

Scuba (Paul Rose, born 1980) is a British electronic musician and DJ based in Berlin. Founder of the Hotflush Recordings label, his music occupies a space between dubstep, techno, and darker club forms — developing the post-dubstep aesthetic of the late 2000s toward more minimal, Berlin-influenced techno. Albums Triangulation (2010) and Personality (2012) marked his increasing distance from the dubstep template toward a more personal hybrid of electronic styles. His Hotflush label has been an important platform for artists including Mount Kimbie, who helped define the post-dubstep sound internationally.
