Scott Arford
One of the leading figures of new media art in the San Francisco Bay Area, he founded 7hz in 1995, a warehouse performance venue that served as the city's primary space for noise and experimental music until 2002. His practice centres on works for sound and video in which images generate sound and sound generates images, most fully realised in the Static Room and TV-IV series. He received an Honorable Mention at the 2005 Prix Ars Electronica and has exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and at festivals in Australia, China, Taiwan, Japan, and the Netherlands.
