Sadist

Founded in Genoa, Italy, in January 1991 by guitarist and keyboardist Tommy Talamanca and drummer Marco Pesenti, who had departed Necrodeath to pursue a more progressive direction. Their 1991 debut Black Screams established the technical ambition that would define their catalogue. Talamanca has remained the constant compositional force through the band's full run, including a hiatus after 2000's Lego and a reunion in 2005. Singer Trevor Nadir has fronted the group since 1996, and later lineups absorbed members who had played with Obscura and Necrophagist.
