Sacha Kahir

Sacha Kahir is a UK-based artist and writer whose multidisciplinary practice spans visual art, animation, documentary, theatre and performance, exploring class, race and the messianic potential of art and politics to overturn the seemingly "natural" order of things. Long engaged in welfare rights activism, he showed work at CCA Glasgow's 2015 group exhibition "The Shock of Victory" and has appeared at Cafe OTO alongside Fred Moten, Hannah Black and Fumi Okiji. In music, he collaborates with Poesi Fysik on the release "Security Questions" for elektroakustische G A R A G E, extending his politically charged, text-driven sensibility into sound.
