Günter Müller
Günter Müller (born 1954) is a Swiss percussionist and electronic musician. Beginning as a jazz drummer, he developed through the 1980s toward free improvisation and electroacoustic music, eventually abandoning conventional drumming in favour of electronics, iPods, and small custom instruments played with extreme subtlety. He has collaborated extensively with Toshimaru Nakamura, Voice Crack, and numerous international improvisers, releasing on For 4 Ears, Hathut, and other labels. His practice is defined by an exceptional economy of means — maximum information and nuance from minimal gesture — and he is among the most respected figures in the European electroacoustic improvisation scene.
