Rushad Eggleston

Rushad Eggleston is an American cellist and musician working at the intersection of experimental music, contemporary folk, and what he calls turbo-Celtic or fearless cello music. Drawing on Celtic, classical, and experimental traditions while pushing the cello into unfamiliar territories, he creates recordings and performances of extraordinary energy and wit. He has collaborated with Crooked Still and with many other musicians in experimental and acoustic music. His approach demonstrates that the cello can be a vehicle for music of genuine exuberance and formal invention.
