Ruben Patiño

Born in Barcelona in 1979 and based in Amsterdam, Patiño works with sound synthesis, algorithmic composition, and audiovisual installation, focusing on the sculptural properties of synthetic sound across concert, performance, and installation formats. He has published releases on labels including Anòmia, Alku, and Free Software Series, and has collaborated with Roc Jiménez de Cisneros on Super-boredom. Since 2013 he has co-led N.M.O. alongside percussionist Morten J. Olsen, a project they describe as Military Danceable Space Music and Fluxus Techno, operating in a hybrid territory between club music, performance art, and inventive approaches to sound spatialization.
