rRoxymore is the alias of Hermione Frank, a producer and DJ born in Montpellier, France, who came up through Paris's house and disco scenes before relocating to Berlin. She debuted in 2012 on Planningtorock's Human Level label and went on to release with Cómeme, Huntleys & Palmers and Bristol's Don't Be Afraid, home to her 2019 debut album Face to Phase. Steeped in jazz from her musician father's record collection, her tracks fold loose, oddly-timed drum programming and dubby low end into house and techno structures, resisting straightforward functionality for something stranger. She has remixed The Knife and continues to DJ internationally, hosting sessions on NTS Radio.
