Robin Fox

An Australian audiovisual artist, he synchronises sound and laser in live performances that have been staged in over sixty cities worldwide, earning him a reputation as one of the foremost practitioners in the medium. His work TRIPTYCH, which premiered at Unsound Kraków in 2022, received the Isao Tomita Special Prize at Ars Electronica 2023. He holds a PhD in composition from Monash University and in 2016 became founding director of MESS (Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio), a non-profit dedicated to public access to the history of electronic instruments. Since 2008 he has composed scores for over twenty-five contemporary dance works.
