Roberto Morales
Roberto Morales-Manzanares is a Mexican electroacoustic composer and educator. After doctoral studies at UC Berkeley, he relaunched the first bachelor program in electroacoustic music in Mexico at the Universidad de Guanajuato in the 1990s and founded El Callejón del Ruido festival in Guanajuato in 1994. His compositional practice engages real-time composition, gesture capture, and live electronics — including Wii controllers, joysticks, and Kinect — and his work is collected on compilations including Música Electroacústica Mexicana and the Anthology of Experimental Music from Mexico.
