Robert Watts
Robert Watts (1923–1988) was an American Fluxus artist, composer, and engineer born in Burlington, Iowa. His work with Fluxus events, multiples, and mail art engaged the movement's interest in dissolving the boundary between art and everyday life. His musical compositions include indeterminate scores and works for unusual means within the Cagean tradition. He taught at Rutgers University for many years and was involved in proto-Fluxus activity before the movement was named. His work is documented in Fluxus archives internationally and has been exhibited in major museum surveys of the movement.
