Richard Scott
A Berlin-based musician holding PhDs in electroacoustic composition from the University of Manchester and in sociology from the London School of Economics, he moved from free improvisation on saxophone to intensive work with modular synthesis. He befriended Dutch synthesizer designer Rob Hordijk and developed a deep focus on the Blippoo Box. In 2011 he co-founded Basic Electricity, one of the first regular modular synthesizer concert series in the world. He also instigated the Sines and Square festival in Manchester and works as a mastering engineer for experimental and electroacoustic music.
