Riccardo Sinigaglia
Born in Arona, Italy, in 1953, he studied electronic music at Milan Conservatory under Angelo Paccagnini and worked in parallel as an architect. His early concrete-electronic compositions, including Scorrevole and Fluttuazioni, integrate nature sounds and animal cries reworked with analogue Moog techniques and tape manipulation. With Gabin Dabiré and Walter Maioli he formed Futuro Antico, one of the most significant ensembles of the Italian avant-garde. In 1985 he co-founded the audiovisual art group Correnti Magnetiche with Mario Canali, producing installations and live-electronics concerts that merged computerised systems with sound.
