Radio Otherwise

A collaborative artistic research project by Kate Donovan, Monaí de Paula Antunes, and Niko de Paula Lefort, exploring radio as an ecological practice. Rooted in the premise that transmission extends far beyond human communication, the project attends to more-than-human radio ecologies — solar emissions, lightning, bioacoustic signals — alongside community and free radio traditions. In 2021 the trio taught a seminar at Universität Potsdam combining field experiments in bioacoustics with live broadcasts on 88.4 FM Berlin and 90.7 FM Potsdam, reaching listeners across both cities.
