Powell

Oscar Powell is a UK producer, DJ, and label founder who established Diagonal Records in 2011 alongside Jaime Williams. The label began as a platform for his own early EPs — The Ongoing Significance of Steel and Flesh and Body Music — which established a sound incorporating New York no wave, industrial, EBM, post-punk, and ascetic European electronics into a distinctive form of club music.

His DJ sets melt jungle, post-punk, techno, and EBM with a brazen and varied approach that reflects his curatorial sensibility for Diagonal Records, which has become an idiosyncratic and important reference point in contemporary electronic music production.
