Posuposu Otani

Posuposu Otani is a Japanese musician whose practice centres on open-tuned acoustic guitar and the kohkin, a Japanese variant of the jaw harp. His self-titled debut album (2025) presents a collection of delicate, intimate pieces in which the two instruments engage in close dialogue, exploring the resonance of natural harmonics, drone, and folk melody. Songs including Finding Fungus (キノコの唄) and About Freedom reflect an attentiveness to the organic world and a minimalist compositional approach. The album was released on vinyl and received attention through independent record store channels in the UK and Europe.
