Pierre Gerard

Pierre Gerard is a Belgian sound artist based in Brussels. His practice works with field recording, small acoustic objects and electronic processing, producing quiet, carefully constructed compositions that emphasise listening to the small, the peripheral and the fragile — sounds that exist at the edges of attention, easily overlooked, revealed by the act of careful recording and considered presentation.

His recordings appear on Herbal International, Unfathomless, Entr'acte and other labels specialising in reductive and field-recording-based work, placing him within a well-defined but diverse international field of practitioners dedicated to minimal and attentive listening practice.
