Pierre André Arcand
Pierre André Arcand is a Quebec-based sound poet and performer whose work occupies the tradition of French-Canadian experimental vocalisation. His practice extends sound poetry toward extreme vocal technique, breath, and the body as primary sonic instrument, engaging with both the Lettrism of François Dufrêne and the parallel traditions of Quebec avant-garde art. He has performed internationally and released recordings documenting his vocal practice. His work is part of the broader Montreal experimental arts scene and the Québécois tradition of radical performance and sound art that has produced distinctive voices since the 1970s.
