Petrichor
Petrichor is a UK harsh noise project built directly from chronic pain and its management, framing feedback and static as a diary of the body in distress. Across releases such as Pain Management, Infection, Ascend to the White Lodge and a split with Sloughed, the project turns clinical language and the tedium of illness into abrasive, unrelenting noise, described in one live billing as GP-baiting feedback tunnels. Collaborations, including a session with Steve Holmes, extend the palette without softening its confrontational core. Where much power electronics trades in performed menace, Petrichor's harshness reads as lived and involuntary, closer to bodily testimony than theatre.
