Peter Fengler

Born in 1964 in Culemborg, the Netherlands, he is a visual artist, performer, musician, and curator whose work moves across vinyl, performance, installation, and concrete poetry. As artistic director of the Rotterdam-based publisher and label De Player, he conceives vinyl records as sculptural objects and performances as publications. His practice draws on grim absurdism, everyday sounds, and unconscious association as compositional tools. He is a member of the cult-I-media group Coolhaven and of Ultra Hobby Complex, and performs internationally in clubs, festivals, and galleries while also teaching at art academies.
