Pearson Sound

Pearson Sound is the alias of David Kennedy, a London-born producer and DJ who began releasing music in the mid-2000s, first as Ramadanman and Maurice Donovan before settling on his current name from 2008. Alongside Ben UFO and Pangaea, he co-founded Hessle Audio, one of the most influential labels to emerge from the UK's bass music underground, threading together dubstep, UK garage, funky, and jungle into a sparse, percussive signature sound. His self-titled debut album arrived on Hessle in 2015, followed by Alien Mode (2020) and Red Sky (2022). He has also remixed Radiohead, Depeche Mode, the xx, and Disclosure, and remains a fixture of Hessle's club nights and touring circuit.
