Paul Panhuysen
Paul Panhuysen (1934–2015) was a Dutch artist, composer and organiser born in Borgharen, near Maastricht. Together with his wife Hélène Panhuysen, he founded and ran Het Apollohuis in Eindhoven from 1980 to 2001, which became an internationally significant venue, archive and label for sound art and experimental music. In over two decades of activity, Apollohuis hosted and documented hundreds of artists from across the international experimental scene, its publications and recordings constituting one of the most important documentary archives of the field.
