P.A.S. — Planetary Assault Systems — is the techno alias of British producer Luke Slater, under which he has released some of his most uncompromising electronic music. Characterised by relentless high-energy patterns, industrial textures, and a refusal of melodic concession, the project represents the hardest, most structurally concentrated end of Slater's range, exploring techno as physical and psychological intensity rather than pleasure. Releases on Ostgut Ton and Mote-Evolver have built one of the most powerful bodies of work in contemporary techno, a severity that has made Planetary Assault Systems a reference point for producers working at techno's harder, industrial edges.
