Organum Electronics

Organum Electronics is the solo electronic project of David Jackman, the British composer and sound artist who has worked under the name Organum since the 1980s. Where Organum's acoustic and ensemble work drew on Orthodox chant, drone, and resonance, Organum Electronics moves these interests into purely electronic territory — synthesiser tones, digital processing, and sustained frequencies that share the same ritual patience and timbral austerity of the acoustic projects. Releasing on Sonoris and other labels, the recordings continue Jackman's characteristic approach: extremely slow, deeply focused, and indifferent to convention.
