Olli Aarni

Olli Aarni is a Finnish musician and artist based in Helsinki. His recordings work with the meeting points of acoustic instruments, tape, field recordings, and minimal electronics, producing music of quiet intensity and spatial depth. He releases primarily on the Hiljaiset Levyt label, his own imprint dedicated to music that inhabits silence and the borders of perception. Albums including Järvi (2017) and Nuo (2019) document a practice attuned to the Finnish landscape and a carefully developed vocabulary of textural minimalism. He is part of an active Helsinki experimental music community and performs regularly.
