Nurse With Wound

Nurse With Wound is a British experimental music project centred on Steven Stapleton, formed in London in 1978 alongside John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. Beginning with the influential list of avant-garde and obscure references included in their debut Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella (1979), the project has since moved across surrealist collage, tape manipulation, musique concrète, and dark ambient through a vast catalogue. Stapleton has collaborated extensively, including long-running work with Colin Potter. The United Dairies label has been central to their releases.
