NRU (Noise Research Union)
NRU, the Noise Research Union, is a collective of artists, musicians, and theorists examining noise as a lens onto cognition, politics, and culture, including Inigo Wilkins, Cécile Malaspina, Miguel Prado, Martina Raponi, Sonia de Jager and Mattin. Rather than performing noise as genre, the group builds shared diagrams and frameworks for thinking through what it calls "21st century noise," the entangled disorder of information, technology, and social systems. Their workshops, held at venues including Café OTO and V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media, work through dialogue and collective diagramming, treating noise as shared, unsettled ground rather than private expertise.
