Norbert Möslang
Norbert Möslang is a Swiss sound artist born in 1952, based in St. Gallen. Together with Andy Guhl he formed the duo Voice Crack in 1972, pioneering what they called "cracked everyday electronics" — the musical use of manipulated consumer appliances such as radios, telephones, children's toys, lamps and calculators, disassembled and rewired into performance instruments capable of producing unpredictable and unruly sound.
Voice Crack performed and recorded extensively for over three decades, collaborating with Borbetomagus, Otomo Yoshihide, Günter Müller, John Butcher, Evan Parker and many others, releasing primarily on For 4 Ears and related labels.
