Nina Helledie

Nina Helledie is a Danish visual artist living and working in Copenhagen, having grown up in Stavtrup outside Aarhus. Over more than a decade she has developed an abstract mark-making practice built on repetition, intuition and rhythm, producing works of accumulated dots in organically evolving shapes across paper, wall and installation. Her process moves between internal impulse and bodily movement, informed by parallel training in body therapy alongside her education at Aarhus Art School and Funen Art Academy. She also works in performance, sculpture and drawing, serving as scenographer and director for theatrical projects. In 2019 she received the 15 June Foundation's honorary award.
