Nik Nowak
Nik Nowak (b. 1981) is a German artist based in Berlin whose practice centres on building mobile sound systems that function as art installations, political instruments, and acoustic objects of considerable power. His most celebrated work, Panzer — a caterpillar-tracked vehicle mounted with a high-powered sound system — has appeared at demonstrations and exhibitions, exploring acoustic power, physical presence, and political agency in public space. Trained at the Universität der Künste Berlin, Nowak's practice intersects sound art, sculpture, and political performance, addressing sound's capacity to function as both a tool of resistance and an instrument of control.
