Murcof

Murcof is the alias of Fernando Corona, a Mexican electronic musician born in 1970 in Tijuana and based in Barcelona. His music combines classical orchestration and contemporary composition — particularly from the spectralism and post-minimalism traditions — with electronic processing and digital precision. Albums including Martes (2002), Utopía (2004), and Cosmos (2007) on Leaf established him as a distinctive voice within European contemporary electronic music. He has collaborated with Vanessa Wagner on piano and electronics albums, with the duo releasing Statea (2014). His work bridges the concert hall and electronic contexts with unusual fluency.
